Prague!!!

What a wonderful weekend! We escaped away to Prague, a 5.5 hour drive from us, to celebrate Columbus finding America. Wahoo! We had a great time...we recommend Prague as a great place to just "feel" Europe. The food was good, the music was superb, and we left refreshed.

High on the hill, overlooking the city, is the Prague Castle. It was under construction for over a thousand years and still holds place as the home of the Czech government.
Prague offered a lot of great street entertainment. It was fun to buy the hot Czech snacks and listen to the music. We also got tickets to a concert in a cathedral put on by a quartet of members of the Czech National Philharmonic Orchestra.

People gawking at the Astronomical Clock...turns out Prague doesn't have a "slow" season. The weather was cooler, but still very comfortable. Weather.com told us there would be rain all weekend, but the only times we saw it was when we were safe inside a restaurant or our hotel.
