Worth a thousand words

Another shot of my room, complete with TV, fridge, and microwave. You can see some of the junk food we have (and plenty of it, too). Hardwood floors round out the amenities of the place I now call home. (Okay, it is roll-on "hardwood," but it looks good.)

This picture is me eating at a big time government conference that we actually sponsored. Well, not the US forces, but the local government. That is me on the right side with clear sunglasses on. We all just dove in and ate the food on the table. Some used spoons, most did not. We had chicken, rice, a tomato base soup with okra (very tasty), and some bread. All in all, a standard fare for meals here. I am surrounded by local leaders (think city council members) and police officers. Fun times here!

Hey, what's up with the clear glasses at lunch? "The better to see you with, my dear? - See what? Goat's Head Soup? (A Rolling Stones album) Very cool to see these pix. Love that big, wonderful smile. The green blanket is pretty ugly. Take care y'hear! Love ya' Dad
